What is this glossary?

This is a plain-English reference for the terms you will see across AI football prediction tools, including ScoreGPT. As of 13 June 2026, the space mixes two very different vocabularies: AI/ML concepts (models, consensus, confidence) and football betting concepts (xG, value, implied probability, BTTS). We define both neutrally so you can read any prediction page critically.

Every definition is informational and for entertainment only — not betting advice. 18+. Where a term touches gambling, we add a responsible-gambling note on its page.

How to use these definitions

Each term has its own page with a definition-first answer block, a "how it works" and "why it matters" section, and FAQs. Start with AI football prediction if you are new, then read AI consensus prediction to understand what ScoreGPT means by "consensus" (it is not the betting-industry meaning). The football-market terms — xG, value betting, implied probability, BTTS — help you read any prediction, from any tool.

What are the 8 core AI football prediction terms?

These are the eight core terms, each with its own definition page:

# Term One-line definition
1 AI football prediction A match forecast produced by software — a statistical model, machine learning, or a large language model — rather than a human tipster.
2 AI consensus prediction Agreement across several independent AI models on one match — distinct from the betting-industry "consensus" (public betting percentages).
3 Expected goals (xG) A metric estimating how many goals a team "should" have scored based on the quality of its chances, not the final score.
4 Prediction confidence level How strongly a model backs its own forecast — a probability or label, not a guarantee that the pick is correct.
5 Value betting Backing an outcome when your estimated probability is higher than the bookmaker's implied probability. Information only, 18+.
6 Implied probability The chance of an outcome expressed by betting odds, converted to a percentage (and inflated by the bookmaker's margin).
7 BTTS & Over/Under 2.5 goals Two common goals markets: whether both teams score, and whether total goals are above or below 2.5. Information only, 18+.
8 Responsible gambling (18+) Treating predictions as entertainment, not income — with the maths favouring the operator over time.

What is the difference between AI consensus and betting consensus?

"Consensus" means two different things in AI prediction versus betting — this table separates them.

Term What it means
AI consensus (ScoreGPT) Agreement across five independent AI models on one match: a majority vote on the result plus an averaged scoreline.
Consensus (betting industry) The percentage of public bets placed on each side of a market.

ScoreGPT uses "consensus" in the AI sense (do the models agree?), not the betting-industry sense (how the crowd's wagers are split).

How does ScoreGPT relate to these terms?

ScoreGPT is AI-native: for each match, five named frontier large language models analyse independently, then ScoreGPT computes a consensus and a top-picks selection. The five models are GPT-5 (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Grok (xAI), GLM (Z.ai), and Kimi K3 (Moonshot); the consensus is a majority vote on the result and an averaged scoreline.

What is different about ScoreGPT, stated as method not performance: multi-model consensus across five named models, AI-native design, and full public grading of every pick — wins and losses. We never claim a win rate, accuracy figure, ROI, or that we are more accurate than anyone.

Frequently asked

Is this glossary betting advice?

No. Every definition is for information and entertainment only — not betting advice, and not a recommendation to place any wager. 18+. Where a term is betting-adjacent, its page carries a responsible-gambling note.

How many terms does the glossary cover?

Eight core terms as of 13 June 2026: AI football prediction, AI consensus prediction, expected goals (xG), prediction confidence level, value betting, implied probability, BTTS & Over/Under 2.5 goals, and responsible gambling. Each has its own definition page.

Does ScoreGPT claim its predictions are accurate?

No. ScoreGPT sells transparency, not performance: it publicly grades every pick — wins and losses. It does not claim a win rate, accuracy percentage, ROI, or that it is more accurate than any other tool.

What does ScoreGPT mean by "consensus"?

Agreement across its five independent AI models on a single match — a majority vote on the result and an averaged scoreline. This differs from the betting-industry term "consensus," which means the percentage of public bets on each side.

AI predictions are for information and entertainment only — not betting advice. 18+. Please gamble responsibly.
